Our large-scale fire and pyrotechnic shows have a danger element that can be hugely minimised by having the right team in place. Jonny’s experience as both a fire performer ON stage and stage manager OFF stage for over 15 years, allows him to understand the show and danger elements from these two different perspectives. He works with the needs of the performers, whilst being able to lead a team of stage crew, sharing his knowledge on health & safety, set up and stage management for a show of a larger size.
Jonny’s experience is not limited to large scale fire productions, he is also an experienced aerial and circus co-ordinator, working on act and show development of elite level aerialists and circus performers on major productions, safely implementing and maximising what is possible on stage. This includes workload management of artists to successfully sustain longer contracts performed multiple times per week.
Jonny works extensively in America, so understands the various licencing and health & safety rules that may be specific there. He also works with the products and fuels available in America that may differ to elsewhere, so is able to manage these differences.
In particular, Jonny has stage managed and worked closely on show production with our fantastic client Universal Studios in Orlando, bringing his invaluable expertise to the Halloween Horror Nights stage show ‘Nightmare Fuel’ for three years – and counting!
